Biography

 

Steven teaches Research Methods and Applied Psychology modules on the BSc (Hons) Criminology and Sociology, and BA (Hons) Professional Development in Early Years and Teaching Assistants courses. He is currently working towards a Doctorate qualification at the University of Bolton specialising in anxiety disorders in adolescence. His doctoral research is focussing on the efficacy of immersive virtual technologies for the provision of mental health interventions.

Research interests:

 

Use and impact of virtual technologies on mental health and wellbeing, including mobile health (mHealth) protocols and virtual reality; mental health disorders including anxiety in adolescence. Currently conducting research into these areas for PhD. Also involved in research projects examining the effects of social media engagement on wellbeing, and factors associated with wellbeing and resilience in student populations.
